REDUCTION IN THE SELF-ISOLATION PERIOD FOR EMPLOYEES THAT TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19.

An employee can only return to work, under the following conditions:

  • The employee must first complete the 10 days mandatory self-isolation.

  • If the employee had moderate or severe symptoms, they first need to undergo a medical evaluation and may require to be booked off sick for longer than the mandatory self-isolation period.

  • Continued practice of personal hygiene and social distancing

  • The employer must monitor the employee to ensure that they do not regress

  • The employee that tested positive for Covid-19 must wear a surgical mask from the date of diagnosis for a period of at least 21 days.
