WSP-ATR/Mandatory Grant Application deadline submission date is 30th of April 2020. An employer who has a valid reason not to submit by the 30th of April can request a submission extension at the relevant SETA. SETA may grant an extension of a maximum of one month.
How does an employer apply for an extension?
Employers who wish to request an extension can do so by completing a request for extension of WSP-ATR/Mandatory Grant Application form.
Request for extension must reach SETA by 31st of March 2020.
SETA will assess the application, if the extension is granted, the due date of WSP-ATR/Mandatory Grant Application will be 31st of May 2020.
If the application for an extension is declined, the official deadline 30th of April 2020 will apply.
Failure to apply for an extension on time means that you will be working under pressure to do the submission by then there will be traffic on SETA indicium which might result in your application for Mandatory Grants/ WSP-ATR submission failing to get through.
TO MISS THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE WILL RESULT IN LOSING MANDATORY GRANT, DISCRETIONARY GRANT AND POINTS ON B-BBEE UNDER SKILLS DEVELOPMENT ELEMENT. RATHER DO AN APPLICATION FOR AN EXTENSION ON TIME, IF NEEDS BE, THAN TO BE SORRY.
