In South Africa, sport is more than a game—it’s part of our culture. The spirit of green and gold, the shared excitement, and the relentless grind behind every win inspire us. This same mindset is needed now for Employment Equity (EE).
Employment Equity has shifted from a yearly paperwork exercise to a long-term strategic game aimed at transformation by 2030. The Employment Equity Amendment Act, 2022, and the new 2025 Regulations introduce clear sector-specific numerical targets and higher expectations.
The first major reporting period (Sept 2024–Aug 2025) is behind us. Your workforce snapshot as of 31 August 2025 is now a fixed record that sets your baseline as a designated or non-designated employer. This snapshot guides your EE Plan for 2025–2030 and must be aligned with EE reporting due by January 2026.
Many organisations face challenges: inconsistent data across systems, patchy disability records, and mismatched headcounts. Yet, ignoring these issues risks non-compliance, scrutiny from clients, and challenges obtaining EE Compliance Certificates.
