New Ergonomics Regulations
The Department of Employment and Labour (DEL) has indicated that the Ergonomics Regulations that were published for public comment, have been approved by the Advisory Council for Occupational Health and Safety (ACOHS) and have been submitted to the Minister of DEL for promulgation.
What is the meaning of Ergonomics?
“The applied science of equipment design, as for the workplace, intended to maximise productivity by reducing operator fatigue and discomfort. Also called biotechnology, human engineering, human factors engineering”
Our Occupational Health and Safety Consultants will be attending a conference to get a better insight of what these changes and new Regulations are in order to assist our clients further to be compliant.
It is the employer’s duty to keep his/her employees free from any risk in the workplace.
