For a company to claim ETI on their employee, the following are criteria’s-

  • The employee age is 18 – 30 years
  • Salary bracket for ETI is R1 – 6000
  • The Employee must have a valid I.D.
  • NO Domestic workers included


The calculation of the ETI is based per the salary and the period of employment. The Employer can claim for the 1st two years from the employment date.
 
The ETI amount is deducted from the total EMP201 amount.  On EFILING system, there are fields to enter the ETI amount and the usage of this.  Once the amounts are entered, immediately the system recalculates the total payable with the ETI credit.
